"You've got some SWEET STUFF on that CD.

"Some of the tracks really take me in deep and have wonderful timbres and spaces. I love the opening insistence of the djembe groove, immediately takes me to the landscape of cool nature evening meets mindful human sweat and passion."

- Mac Ritchey, co-leader, 35th Parallel

(Mac plays the Oud, Lute and other fretted exotica)

"Wow. this is the kind of music that makes you want to build a log cabin. or become a fisherman or something..."

(From the blog of Freezepeach Café, NYC, where we played in Jan. '07)

Some of the sounds and soundmakers we love

Including,

A Dios to Alice Coltrane, wife of John, who passed away ("respiratory failure") on Jan. 12, 2007. She was 69.

Their son Ravi Coltrane's Mypace page, with sympathies from many fans

Playing piano, organ and (stringed) harp, Ms. Coltrane made some great, influential music on her own, our fave among others being "Journey In Satchitananda" with Pharoah Sanders.
